Pardon Partners, as your representative, will always act in your best interest in applying for your Pardon, US Entry Waiver or Criminal Rehabilitation application and see it through to completion.

As your agent, we expect you to provide our office with complete and honest information during the intake process and anything new that may come up during the processing of your application.

If information is not shared and comes into question at a later point, this may put your application in jeopardy, whereby we may be unable to resolve the situation.

Terms Of Service:

  1. By signing the authorization, you have contracted Pardon Partners to serve as your representative to prepare your Pardon/Record Suspension, US Entry Waiver, Rehabilitation Application or File Destruction.
  2. Pardon Partners has your permission to communicate with all necessary government bodies which may be of assistance in this matter.
  3. Pardon Partners shall take all necessary and feasible steps to assist in this matter based on the response time of the government bodies involved.
  4. Processing times outlined by Pardon Partners are estimates based on current information at that time. Pardon Partners cannot guarantee response times of government agencies involved but have rigorous follow up procedures in place.
  5. If you have requested a Payment Plan to be set up to make installments, you agree to make your payments on time to avoid delays or your file becoming dormant and eventually being shredded under Privacy Laws.

General:

  1. Pardon Partners offers payment plans to allow applicants to budget the cost over 3-4 months. Installments will be charged to the credit card on file on a monthly basis. Your file must be paid in full within 4 months of initial payment to ensure agreed upon timelines are met. If an outstanding balance is remaining after 6 months, a fee of $290+HST will be applied.
  2. Refunds will not be issued after 7 days of initial payment. Monies paid to Pardon Partners are used to set up your physical and digital file, communicate with different government bodies and agencies Federal legislation is subject to change without notice and thus a refund cannot be issued based on the outcome of legislative changes.
  3. When legislative changes occur, we will make you aware of said changes within a timely manner should they directly affect your file.
  4. If you are not eligible for a pardon/record suspension due to non-disclosure of relevant information on your part, Pardon Partners may terminate your file without refund.
  5. It is your responsibility to contact Pardon Partners if you move or change your telephone number(s) or email address as well as to comply with requests by Pardon Partners for documents.
  6. If your file is dormant for over 18 months it will be shredded under Privacy Laws and you will have to restart the process from the beginning.
  7. Pardon Partners does not tolerate hostile behaviour where situations are out of our hands. This may include lengthy wait times for courts to provide records that are archived or when the federal government conducts a more thorough investigation exceeding suggested timelines.
  8. Once the process has been completed, all of Pardon Partners digital files and the entire contents of your physical file will be deleted/shredded.

Processing Times:

Our goal is the same as yours, to complete your application as quickly as possible. We like efficiency therefore we require you to comply with our requests and instructions and contact us if you need more time.

  1. By committing to work with Pardon Partners it is your responsibility to follow instructions provided in a timely manner, and clear the balance on your file within 3-4 months based on the payment plan in place. This will avoid delays in the processing of your file.
  2. At times applications can take longer due to backlogs with courthouses, delays in payment (if a payment plan has been arranged), or if new charges are laid.

Removal of Canadian Criminal Record:

  1. A Pardon/Record Suspension will take approximately 5-10 months to collect all the official documentation required to prepare your application and approximately 6-12 months to follow awaiting the decision from the federal government
  2. This is subject to change and pending your file is paid in full.
  3. Note: Unpaid files and fines will slow or stop the process. Pardon Partners will only be made aware of outstanding fines through the collection of court documentation
  4. Processing times for File Destructions range from 3-18 months. An approximate timeline will be provided at the time you start your application. Updates are provided throughout this time.

U.S. Entry Waivers:

  1. US Entry Waivers take approximately 5-10 months to collect all the official documentation required to prepare your Waiver application and approximately 3-8 months to receive a decision from the U.S. government. This is subject to change and pending your file is paid in full.
  2. After Pardon Partners submits your application, you will be required to attend the border in person for biometrics within 45 days. Further instructions will be provided.

Additional Fees/Refunds/Expenses:

  1. The cost of your file outlined on your receipt covers the cost of collecting and analyzing official government documents, communication with different government bodies on your behalf, providing status updates on your file, preparing the application and working with you on any secondary communication that may be required from local or federal government agencies.
  2. The fee to Pardon Partners does not include fingerprinting fees, local police check fees, the federal government processing fees (as these change without notice), notarized documents (if applicable), court records outside of the scope of a typical file. If you have more than 2 conviction dates in Alberta, Saskatchewan and/or Prince Edward Island – fees for the court records will need to be paid for by you the applicant or an additional $250 will be required to collect records on your behalf. Alternatively, you may collect those on your own and submit to Pardon Partners once you have obtained them.
  3. If you do not maintain your payment plan and clear it within 4 months (unless otherwise agreed), or make alternate formal arrangements, there will be an Overdue Balance fee of $290 added to your file at the 6 month mark.
  4. If you do not follow instructions or misplace documents sent to you by Pardon Partners, there will be an $85 administrative fee. After 12 months of inactivity, your file will become dormant. At this point, there will be a fee of $345+HST to reactivate your file.
  5. If new charges are laid against you during the processing of your file, there will be an additional fee of $365 added to your file to cover the cost of re-calculating eligibility (if necessary), ordering and analyzing new required documentation and storing your digital and physical file until you have met new eligibility requirements.
  6. If you need to cancel your application we offer a full refund minus an administrative fee of $128 within 7 days of opening your file (receipt of payment/deposit). After the 7 day period your deposit can not be refunded; however, if payment was made in full the amount paid beyond the $300 deposit will be refunded.
  7. If you fail to attend the Port of Entry for the biometrics component of your US Waiver application within the time allotted, you will be charged a fee of $345+HST to update any expired documents and resubmit your application.

File Closure:

  1. Should communication from you cease, Pardon Partners will provide friendly reminders 3 times within a 12 month period by email or voicemail.
  2. If documents are not submitted, instructions not followed or the balance remains outstanding, your file will be considered dormant and will cost $290 to reactivate. At this point, we assign a staff person to re-evaluate the entire file to ensure your application still falls under the current legislation and that all documents remain valid.
  3. After 18 months of inactivity, your file will be permanently closed and shredded to protect your privacy.
